LANCASTER, Pa. – Ben Beaver scored both of Franklin & Marshall's goals in the first half as the Diplomats (5-2-1, 2-1 Centennial) blanked Ursinus (2-7, 1-2 Centennial) 2-0 on Tuesday night in men's soccer play.
Beaver scored in the 27th and 40th minutes for F&M, who held an 11-0 shot advantage in the first half, before Ursinus rallied to outshot the Dips 5-1 in the second half.
Senior goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) made two saves for Ursinus, who travels to Washington on Saturday afternoon.
