LANCASTER, Pa. – Ursinus College's Chris Porzelt was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week, it was announced Tuesday night.

Porzelt turned in the best performance of his career for the 17th-ranked Bears, who wrapped up the regular season with road victories over Muhlenberg and McDaniel.

The junior goalkeeper racked up a career-high 19 saves against the Mules, stopping at least four shots in each quarter of regulation in his best performance to date. Porzelt's defensive prowess provided a lifeline for the Bears, who tied the game with 12.8 seconds remaining in regulation on a goal by Hakan Atillasoy and won it in double overtime on another Atillasoy marker.

Porzelt tallied four saves in Saturday's win at McDaniel before giving way to Quinn Watson in the third quarter.

Porzelt ranks fourth in the Centennial Conference in goals-against average (9.13) and fifth in saves (62).
