McClure Named CC Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – After a record-setting performance in a dominant non-conference finale, Bobby McClure was named the Centennial Conference men's lacrosse offensive player of the week.

McClure was unstoppable in Wednesday's 16-7 victory over Eastern, helping the 8th-ranked Bears cap their non-conference schedule with a perfect 6-0 record thanks to another electric effort on attack. The junior scored six goals, all of them in the first half, to match a single-game program record that has now been accomplished six times. McClure added two assists to his ledger for a career-best eight points.

One of the toughest covers in the CC, McClure ranks third in the league with 23 goals and seventh with 30 points, where he is tied with senior teammate Peter DeSimone. With less than two-and-a-half seasons under his belt, McClure is already seventh in school history in goals (80) and eighth in points (120).

McClure has scored at least three goals in all but one game this season, three times netting at least five. After registering two assists in the first four games, he has put up five in the last two. McClure's weekly honor is the second of his career.
