Neff Selected in MLL Supplemental Draft

2018 MLL Supplemental Draft Selections

Former Ursinus College men's lacrosse star Brian Neff was selected in the 2018 Major League Lacrosse supplemental draft, held Wednesday via conference call.

Neff was chosen by the New York Lizards with the penultimate pick of the auxiliary round (116th overall), which followed the 12-round annual draft. He is the first player in Ursinus history to be drafted into the MLL.

Neff is one of the most accomplished goaltenders in the history of the Centennial Conference. He is the three-time All-American and three-time first team All-CC performer in Ursinus history. A four-time all-conference selection, Neff was named the CC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2016, when he ranked 16th in Division III in goals-against average (7.25).

The Bears' all-time leader in saves (709), goals-against average (7.34), and save percentage (.604), Neff ranks third in CC lore with 45 victories and his save total places him sixth. Also a standout in the classroom, Neff as a senior was one of just five players named Academic All-Centennial, which recognizes juniors and seniors on the all-conference roster with a GPA of at least 3.40.
