Neff Named Scholar All-American

2016 USILA Scholar All-Americans

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Recently graduated Ursinus men's lacrosse goalkeeper Brian Neff was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Scholar All-American, the organization announced Sunday.

Neff, a three-time USILA All-American for his play on the field, was recognized for his stellar work off it with his second straight Scholar All-American laurel.

A second team selection in 2016, Neff is the only three-time All-American in program history. This year's Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year, he is also the first Bear to earn three first team all-conference nods after finishing his senior season ranked 16th in Division III in goals-against average (7.25).

Neff ended his career sixth in CC history with 709 saves and third with 45 victories. He is Ursinus' all-time leader in saves, goals-against average (7.34), and save percentage (.604) and stands sixth with 155 ground balls.

Majoring in Business and Economics, Neff was one of just five players named Academic All-Centennial, which recognizes juniors and seniors on the all-conference squad with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.40.
