Men's Lacrosse Ranked 18th in USILA/Nike Poll

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's lacrosse team appeared in the USILA/Nike Division III Coaches Poll for the third straight week, landing at No. 18 in Monday's rankings.

The Bears (10-2, 4-1 CC) saw their school-record eight-game winning streak come to an end Saturday at the hands of Gettysburg, which has won seven straight and moved up three spots to No. 6 in the latest poll. Three days prior, Ursinus closed with six unanswered goals to dial up a 10-4 victory over Washington College.

Undefeated Salisbury topped the poll for the fourth straight week, garnering 18 of 19 first-place votes and a total of 378 points. The Sea Gulls were succeeded by RIT (362, 1 first-place vote), Tufts (340), St. Lawrence (307), Denison (303), Gettysburg (267), Amherst (252), Ithaca (234), Middlebury (215), and York (196).

Ursinus is slotted 9th in the Laxpower.com computer ratings.

The Bears play consecutive Centennial Conference road games at Muhlenberg and Haverford before closing the regular season at home against McDaniel.
