Men's Lacrosse closes season with 11-10 OT win over Muhlenberg

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus sophomore midfielder Jake Weber scored three goals, including the game-winner with 34 seconds left in the first overtime, as the Bears (9-5, 3-5 Centennial) defeated Muhlenberg (6-9, 2-6 Centennial) 11-10 on Saturday.

Weber scored three goals on 18 shots as the Bears fired off 57 shots on the afternoon.

Ursinus rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to take a 5-2 lead in the second quarter and led by three going into the fourth quarter before the Mules fought back to tie the score.

Weber also finished with two assists on the afternoon, with junior midfielder Dylan Spangenberg scoring two and assisting on two goals, including the game-winner.

Junior faceoff specialist Shawn Caven was 7-for-18 on faceoffs on the day, while freshman James Fairchild was 3-for-5.

Caven, sophomore attack Mark Stratton and sophomore defender Ryan Ridinger each had five ground balls on the afternoon.

In goal, freshman Brian Neff made 20 saves on 30 shots.
