Men's Lacrosse downs McDaniel, 11-5

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Ursinus scored the first three goals of the game, and two three goal runs in the third and fourth quarter as the Bears (7-5, 1-5 Centennial) defeated McDaniel (5-10, 2-5 Centennial) 11-5 in men's lacrosse play on Saturday afternoon.


Freshman Logan Panaccione scored four goals on the afternoon, while freshman Steve Mussoline had two goals, as did Jake Weber. Weber had two assists on the afternoon as well, with Mark Stratton netting three assists on the day. 

Weber actually scored the first two goals of the game, including an extra-man goal with 7:41 left in the first quarter for a 2-0 lead. 

Panaccione scored three of his four goals in the second half, with two of them coming late in the fourth quarter to help Ursinus put the game away. 

Individually, Stratton had five ground balls with Adebayo Adeyemo having two caused turnovers. 

Shawn Caven was 7-for-19 on faceoffs for the Bears.

In goal, Brian Neff had 16 saves. 

The Bears host Haverford on Wednesday.
