RISING SUN, Md. – Kyle Quagliero added another top-10 finish to his resume to lead the Ursinus College men's golf team at the fall edition of the annual Revolutionary Classic.
Quagliero carded a two-day 151 (76-75) to tie for sixth overall in a field of 50, helping the Bears to post their best score of the fall on Saturday en route to a final tally of 632 (311-321). Ursinus came in fifth in the team standings, which were topped by Stevens at 607.
Quagliero was red-hot on the back nine on Sunday, making eagle on the par-five 14th hole and closing with a birdie on the par-five 18th. The sophomore shot 35 on holes 10-18 to finish just two strokes out of third place.
Alex Fernandez of Johnson and Wales Denver ran away with the individual title, posting a 2-under 140 (67-73) at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club.
Brian Barrett and Jordan Pick each finished on 180 strokes for the Bears. Barrett fired a 77 on Saturday and an 83 on Sunday, while Pick logged 80 on both days. Pick birdied three par-five holes (6, 14, and 18) during the second round, with Barrett recording a birdie on the par-four 4th in addition to the 6th.
Ryan Hodgdon was right behind Barrett and Pick with a 36-hole 161 (78-83). He also birdied the 14th hole on Sunday. Jack Bagnell rounded out the Gold squad with a 177 (89-88).
T.J. Stanton paced the Black squad with a 170, dropping 12 strokes off Saturday's 91 with a 79 for his second round. The rookie made birdie on the 3rd and 10th holes, both par-fours, on Sunday.
Daniel Schlitt was next across with a 179 (86-93) for the Bears, followed by Kai Toomey (93-87—180) and John Murray (91-91—182).
Ryan Moliken carded a career-best 104 on Sunday to cap a two-day total of 227 (123-104); he finished with three pars and a birdie on the par-three 15th hole.
Liam Bradley also showed significant strides over the weekend, finishing with a 228 (112-116) and registering back-to-back rounds below 120 for the first time in his career.
The Bears wrap up their fall season at the Arcadia Invitational on October 28.
