Hodgdon Leads Men's Golf at Scotland Run

WILLIAMSTOWN, N.J. – Ryan Hodgdon tied for sixth overall in a field of 72 as the Ursinus College men's golf team opened the spring with a fourth-place showing at the Scotland Run Shootout.

Hodgdon fired a 6-over 77 to match three others for sixth place, only four shots back of Rutgers-Camden's Richard Stolz. It was the fourth top-10 of the season for the sophomore, who four of the top six single-round scores for the Bears this season.

Sophomore Brian Barrett signed for an 84 for Ursinus, which finished with a team total of 336. Penn State Berks claimed the team crown with a 310, followed by Rutgers-Camden (316) and Wesley (323) in front of the Bears.

Senior Max Schwartz carded a season-best 86, with classmate Ryan Crawford posting an 89. Fellow senior Matthew Sherman shot a 95.

The Bears will compete at the Moravian Invitational at Southmoore Golf Club on Wednesday.
