Scorecards

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – Playing for the third consecutive day, the Ursinus College men's golf team put together a balanced showing to place third at the Eastern Invitational on Monday.

The Bears' top four scorers were all within one stroke of each other for the Bears, who came in just two shots behind the host Eagles for second with a cumulative 322. Millersville was the team champion at 303.

Senior Ryan Crawford and sophomore Ryan Hodgdon put together scorecards nearly as similar as their names, each making eight pars and a birdie for an 80 that landed them in a tie for seventh in a field of 28 golfers. Crawford birdied the par-3 9th hole and posted par on Nos. 16-18 for his first top-10 finish of the fall, while Hodgdon followed up a second-place overall effort at the Revolutionary Collegiate Classic over the weekend with another solid outing that included a birdie on the par-5 16th.

Sophomore Brian Barrett and junior Noah Steiner were right behind with matching 81's. Barrett matched Hodgdon and Crawford with eight pars – including five out of six from the fourth hole through the ninth – and Steiner registered par on nine different holes. The pair tied for 12th overall.

Sophomore Jack Bagnell compiled one of his top performances of the campaign, falling one stroke off his season low with an 83 that featured seven pars and a birdie on the par-3 17th hole. Bagnell, who tied for 15th place, made four consecutive pars on Nos. 5-8.
