Crawford Paces Men's Golf at Muhlenberg Invite

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Ryan Crawford registered the second-best score of his career with a 77 to lead the Ursinus College men's golf team at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Monday afternoon.

Two players made eagle for Ursinus, which finished 15th in a field of 18 squads with a cumulative tally of 350 at Lehigh Country Club.

Crawford was the Bears' low man for the first time this season, landing one shot off his career best set at last year's Eastern Invitational to tie for 13th overall among 86 golfers. The highlight of Crawford's round came on the par-5 11th hole, where he holed out from 60 yards away for eagle. Crawford, who recorded his second top-20 performance of the year, added ten pars to his round.

Sophomore Ryan Hodgdon carded an 80, including birdies on the par-4 4th hole as well as the 6th as he registered a 37 on the front nine.

Junior Noah Steiner signed for an 89 and made eagle on the par-5 6th, sticking a 6-iron to three feet from 237 yards out for a tap-in 3.

Senior Matthew Sherman rounded out Ursinus' foursome with a 104. He made birdie on the par-3 16th and scored par on the 17th.

The men's golf team returns to the course on Saturday, October 14, the first day of its annual two-round Revolutionary Collegiate Classic at Patriots Glen National Golf Club.
