Men's Golf 4th at Eastern Spring Invitational

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – Hitting the links for the second time in four days, the Ursinus College men's golf team finished fourth in a six-team field at Tuesday's Eastern Spring Invitational held at St. Davids Golf Club.

The host Eagles edged Cabrini by one stroke for the team crown, posting a cumulative score of 311. Muhlenberg (320) was third, followed by Ursinus (342), Rosemont (407), and Centenary (448).

Sophomore Lamar Saxon led the Bear contingent with an 11-over 81 on the par-70, 6324-yard course, which was good for 10th among 29 golfers. Freshman Bennett Collins turned in a strong effort with an 83 (+13) to tie for 12th, and sophomore Ryan Crawford placed 15th with an 88.

Junior Anthony Barbine carded a 90 and freshman Noah Steiner shot a 98 to round out the day for Ursinus.

Cabrini's David Gall posted the lowest round of the afternoon, a 2-over 72. 

The Bears will take their next hacks at the Susquehanna Invitational on Friday, April 1.
