Quattro Nabs All-CC Nod

2017-18 All-CC Men's Basketball

LANCASTER, Pa. – Ursinus College men's basketball senior Zach Quattro was named to his second consecutive All-Centennial Conference Team.

Quattro, who transferred from Le Moyne as a junior, leaves Collegeville with two All-CC second team laurels after leading the Bears and ranking fourth in the conference in scoring at 14.6 points per game. His contributions helped Ursinus finish 17-10 overall and win a CC playoff game for the second straight season.

A highly efficient scorer, Quattro joined sophomore teammate Ryan McTamney as the only players in the CC to shoot better than 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range; he ranked ninth in field-goal percentage (52.1) and 11th in 3-point shooting (40.2 percent).

Quattro led Ursinus with 30 blocked shots, good for fifth in the CC, and was the squad's second-leading rebounder at 5.3 boards per contest. The stretch forward made at least half his attempts from the floor in 18 games this season, including a 27-point, 10-rebound outburst in a win at Washington College in which he went 10 for 16 overall and 5 for 7 from beyond the arc. Quattro, who posted a pair of double-doubles, led the Bears with 17 points in the CC semifinal loss at Swarthmore.

Quattro is the first Ursinus player to garner all-conference recognition in back-to-back seasons since Jesse Krasna, who was a second-team performer in 2013 and 2014. In two seasons with the Bears, he produced 728 points and 329 rebounds while shooting 49.8 percent from the floor, 41.9 percent on triples, and 78.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Senior Remi Janicot was selected to the All-CC Sportsmanship Team. A key member of the Bears' second unit, Janicot averaged 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in his final season and finished his career with 830 points and 620 rebounds.
