Eastern outlasts Men's Basketball, 82-70

RADNOR, Pa. – Ursinus got 18 points off of the bench from senior guard Pat Vasturia, but, it was not enough as the Eagles of Eastern (4-4) defeated the Bears (1-7) 82-70 Wednesday night in men's basketball action.

Three players scored ten points for the Bears: freshman forward Patrick Mekongo, senior guard Ryan Adams and sophomore guard Trevor Norton.

Ursinus was tied at 35-all at the half, but, the Eagles pulled away as they finished the game shooting 58.1 percent from the field. In the first half, the Eagles shot 63.6 percent from the field

Eastern, who put all five starters in double figures, was led by 20 points from Malcolm Garrison and 15 points from Anthony Parenti.

The rebounds were even at 29, as Mekongo, Adams and Vasturia each had four. Caleb Knudsen had ten rebounds for the Eagles, along with 13 points.

Ursinus heads to Hamilton, N.Y., on Sunday to take on Division I Colgate University.
