COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Moravian rallied from a six-point halftime deficit by shooting an even 50 percent from the field as the Greyhounds (5-1) defeated Ursinus (3-4) 81-76 on Monday night in a regional men's basketball matchup.

Ursinus shot well in the first half, connecting on 57.7 percent of its shots but made just one field goal in the final 7:53 of the second half in the loss.

The Bears were led by 27 points from junior point guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) while senior forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) scored 17. Freshman guard Malik Draper (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) scored 11 in the loss.

For Moravian, senior guard Garrett Johnson had 25 points, while senior guard D.J. Strayhorn added in 18 and six assists. Junior center Cameron Cullen scored 13 and grabbed six boards.

Ursinus had as much as an eight-point lead with 5:13 left to go in the first half on an alley-oop from senior guard Matt Donahue (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) to Ward. Moravian charged back to within three, but, a jumper by Ward and a three-pointer by junior guard Pat Vasturia (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) gave the Bears another eight point lead 39-31 with 1:42 left.

In the second half, Moravian would take a one-point lead at 46-45 with 17:42 left when Cullen made a layup. A small 5-0 run gave Ursinus another lead at 50-46 with 14:41 left.

Leading 58-50, Ursinus saw Moravian go on an 11-2 scoring run to go up 61-60 on a layup by junior center Blake English. Ursinus struggled from the foul line on the night, making just 62.5 percent of its attempts (15-for-24) and was just 9-for-15 in the second half.

Moravian took the lead for good at 66-63 with 6:31 left when Johnson nailed a three-pointer. From there, Moravian went up by as much as seven points. Ursinus was only able to get within four the rest of the way.

Ursinus had a 36-33 lead in rebounding with senior forward Kevin Janowski (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) grabbing seven.

Ursinus will host Haverford on Wednesday at 7.
