Dialing Long Distance

WESTMINSTER, Md. – By the power of 13 three pointers, McDaniel (2-2, 1-0 Centennial) handed Ursinus (1-3, 0-1 Centennial) an 81-68 loss on Tuesday evening in men's basketball play. It was the conference opener for both teams.

Doug Macrone sank seven of the Green Terror's 13 three bombs scoring 21 points, but, McDaniel got 26 points from Cullen Murray-Kemp off the bench in the win.

Ursinus got 19 points from junior forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland), who also had five rebounds, with junior guard Matt Donahue (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) scoring 14 points.

Sophomore point guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsburg) scored 13 points in the loss.

Ursinus, who led 35-34 at intermission, had a 34-18 lead on the glass. Ward, Krasna and freshman guard Phil Walker (Sicklerville, N.J./Solebury Prep) each had five rebounds.

The Bears will take on Eastern Saturday at noon at the Coaches vs. Cancer hosted by Neumann.
