SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – Junior Alyssa DeLorme was honored as the East Region All-Around Gymnast of the Week by the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA), the organization announced Monday.

DeLorme had a career-best all-around score of 38.275 that was .75 higher than Penn's lone all-around competitor, Sydney Kraez on Sunday afternoon in their dual meet with the Quakers. DeLorme posted a career-best score on the bars with a 9.650, a 9.475 on the vault, matched her career-best on the floor with a 9.550, and posted a 9.6 on the beam. DeLorme's All-Around score was just .4 short of matching the Bears school record that was set in 2015 by Kaelin Ruoss.

The Bears recorded new season standards on the vault (47.375), beam (46.975), and the bars (46.925), on the way to a cumulative tally of 188.450, nearly three points clear of its previous high score coming into the meet against Penn on Sunday. Ursinus also scored a 47.175 on the floor to complete its best performance of the season.  It was the highest total score for Ursinus since posting a 188.950 at Springfield during the 2020 season.

This is the first time DeLorme has earned a NCGA weekly award in her collegiate career, and she is the first Bear since Skylar Haas in February 2020 to earn a weekly award from the organization.

The Bears return to action on Sunday, February 27th as they will host West Chester for senior day at 1 p.m.
