Gymnastics Wraps up Regular Season at Temple

PHILADELPHIA – The Ursinus College gymnastics team tuned up for the NCGA East Region championship with a season high on vault during a Sunday dual with Temple.

The Bears finished with a team tally of 185.775 in their regular-season finale, marking their sixth consecutive outing of at least 185.

Ursinus was dialed in on the vault, with each of its top five performers scoring at least 9.500 on the way to a 47.700. Shruthi Anand recorded a new personal best with a 9.650, and Taylor Cusick was right behind the rookie at 9.550.

Alex Panetta, Emma Gable, and Breanna Couts all landed on 9.500; Panetta matched her personal record and Gable equaled her season high for the third time.

Kaylin Knapsack's 9.650 was a team high on the floor, where the Bears tallied a 46.525. Skylar Haas posted her second-best score of the year at 9.450, and Cusick produced a 9.350. Gable received a 9.225.

Alyssa DeLorme led Ursinus on the beam, where her 9.575 was her second-highest of the campaign. Haas garnered a 9.425 with Knapsack earning a 9.350. Kasey Ricci's 9.225 was a massive PR, nearly an entire point higher than her debut tally.

Panetta was tops on the uneven bars, securing a 9.475 from the judges. Gable grabbed a 9.225, with DiCicco (9.050) and Eleanor LaFountain (9.000) also hitting the 9.0 mark.

The Bears now gear up for regionals, which take center stage next Sunday at Springfield.
