Division III National Academic Squad
GILBERT, Ariz. – Ursinus College continued an extended tradition of excellence in the classroom by placing 14 of its members on the 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.
The Division III National Academic Squad program recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.
Senior Bridget Sherry earned her fourth National Academic Squad laurel and was joined by senior Maria DiCioccio; juniors Gemma Dufoe, Anna Hall, Brianne Nicholas, and Erin Saybolt; sophomores Mary Margaret Baldy, Devon Carroll, Zia Cooper, Addie Frey, Gabriela Howell, Erin McIlhenny, and Kayla Paulson; and first-year Jamie Mayer.
Additionally, Ursinus garnered the Division III National Academic Team Award, which recognizes those programs that earned a team GPA of 3.0 or better during the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year.
Ursinus finished 12-6 overall and 8-2 in Centennial Conference play, earning its 16th consecutive CC playoff berth.
