Bradford, Highland Named to Inquirer Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA – Ursinus College football standouts Brett Highland and Mitchell Bradford were selected to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team in voting by the sports information offices from 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Highland, a senior offensive tackle, and Bradford, a junior cornerback, were among 24 student-athletes to receive the honor. A grade-point average of at least 3.20 is required for eligibility.

An Applied Economics major with a minor in history, Highland received All-Centennial Conference recognition for the second year in a row in 2018, garnering honorable mention as one of the league's top left tackles. Highland was a D3football.com preseason All-American and a major reason why the Bears offense ranked in the top three in the conference in a wide range of statistical categories.

A Health & Exercise Physiology major, Bradford led the CC with five interceptions en route to second team all-conference laurels. He also topped Ursinus with six pass breakups and forced a fumble.
