Graber Named Pitcher of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – Following his latest sensational performance on the mound, Ursinus College freshman Nolan Graber has been named Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Graber notched his second complete game in his last three starts in the opener of Saturday's doubleheader against Washington College, leading the Bears to a 3-1 victory with another brilliant effort. The rookie allowed six hits and struck out nine without a walk, his only blemish a solo home run in the fifth. Graber only got better as the game went on, striking out the side in the sixth and whiffing three more in the eighth.

Graber has quickly established himself as one of the top pitchers in the conference, leading the Bears in innings (43.1), strikeouts (30), and ERA (2.91). He has been even better in CC play, ranking second in the league with two complete games and fourth with a 1.71 ERA.

Two of Graber's last three starts have resulted in complete-game gems, the other a two-hitter at Gettysburg on April 14.
