WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The Ursinus College baseball team finished its Florida trip with a flourish, sweeping Muskingum by scores of 6-3 and 8-0 to bring an 8-2 record back home to snowy Collegeville.

Senior Alex Campbell finished the day 4-for-7 with a home run – his second in as many days – and four RBI for the Bears, and classmate Austin Kurey was a combined 4-for-7 and drove in three runs. Seniors Seth Regensburg and Pierce Greenleaf each threw complete games on the mound, with Greenleaf spinning his first career shutout in the nightcap as Ursinus ran its winning streak to five.

Sophomore Carter Usowski had three doubles and three RBI on the day, giving him an eight-game hitting streak and a staggering .516 average (16-for-31) for the Sunshine State swing. The Bears hit .315 with five home runs as a team during the week, with an on-base percentage of .383 and a slugging percentage of .462.

Game 1: Ursinus 6, Muskingum 3

Regensburg and the Bears fell behind right away, as the Muskies plated two in the top of the first on a groundout by Joe Shumar and an RBI double by Michael Pagano. But Ursinus responded in kind in the bottom half, with junior Travis Kozak singling and Usowski moving him to third with a double. Campbell's ground ball and an RBI single off the bat of Kurey quickly pulled the Bears even.

Regensburg and Muskingum counterpart Evan Hinds got into a groove over the next few innings. The Muskies grabbed their final lead of the morning on a two-out double by Shumar, but just like in the first, the Bears had an answer at the ready.

Freshman Dom Fiorentino ignited the fifth-inning comeback with a leadoff single up the middle and moved to second on a wild pitch. An error on the Muskies' second baseman allowed Kozak to reach safely and brought Fiorentino to the plate with the tying run. Usowski made Muskingum pay, ripping his second double of the game down the left-field line to score Kozak and give the Bears the upper hand for good.

Much like Thursday's nightcap with SUNY Poly, when Campbell followed senior Greg Petorak's go-ahead grand slam with a two-run blast, the Bears' slugger struck again, his latest two-run shot stretching the margin to 6-3. Campbell had one career home run in his first three seasons before slamming two in a span of four at-bats.

Regensburg got into a spot of trouble in the seventh, when Muskingum used an error and the left-hander's lone walk to put men on first and second with one out. Regensburg evaded the danger with consecutive groundouts to lock up his second win of the season.

Regensburg's second complete game in as many starts gave him three for his career. He allowed eight hits and three runs with a walk and nine strikeouts. Hinds (0-2) surrendered six runs – five earned – on eight hits with a walk and four strikeouts.

Usowski (2-for-3) provided his fourth straight multi-hit game; he also scored twice and drove in a run. Kozak continued his table-setting ways, scoring twice and adding an RBI, while Kurey finished 2-for-3 with the RBI single in the first. After going 2-for-3 with three RBI, Campbell had registered five RBI in his last two contests.

Game 2: Ursinus 8, Muskingum 0

The Bears needed no late heroics in their Florida finale. After a scoreless first, freshman Alex Mumme's first career triple scored Campbell with the game's first run, and senior CJ Diana's infield hit made it 2-0.

Ursinus piled on three more in the fifth, starting with a two-run double off the bat of Usowski before Campbell's RBI single brought home Kurey.

In the fourth, Kozak's bunt single loaded the bases for Kurey, who promptly rapped a two-run single up the middle to swell the lead to 7-0. Senior Kieran Geyer's run-scoring single in the sixth capped the scoring.

Greenleaf hardly needed the help. The senior right-hander was a model of efficiency in his second start of the season, conceding just two hits after Muskingum's Eddie Parker opened the bottom of the first with a single to pick up his first career complete-game shutout. Greenleaf (2-0) walked two and struck out two in an economical 94 pitches.

Fiorentino (2-for-2), Geyer (2-for-4, run, RBI), Kurey (2-for-4, 2 RBI), Campbell (2-for-4, RBI), and Mumme (2-for-4, 2 runs, RBI) all had at least two hits and a run scored to anchor the offensive production for Ursinus, which went 8 for 15 (.533) with runners in scoring position.
