Juan Lazares joined the Ursinus College women's soccer program as an assistant prior to the 2018 season.

Lazares brings over a decade of experience coaching top-level youth soccer, recently joining Penn Fusion after a lengthy stint with Continental FC and its ECNL '01 squad. Lazares, who has also spent time with FC Bucks and Spirit United, served as head coach of the boys varsity soccer team at Bishop Shanahan High School from 2006 to 2010.

During his time as a club coach, Lazares' teams have won two EPYSA State Cup championships and an EPYSA State Challenge Cup in addition to a USYSA Region I title in 2009. 

The owner of a USSF "B" license, Lazares graduated from Montclair State University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
