Stan Exeter recently completed his eighth season as head baseball coach at Ursinus.

In 2019, Exeter coached junior standout Alex Mumme to first-team all-region and first team All-America honors - the first player in program history to achieve both in the same season.

Exeter engineered a massive turnaround in the 2017 campaign, leading the Bears to a 25-16 record and an appearance in the Centennial Conference championship series on the heels of a 2-16 CC record the previous year. Ursinus placed six players on the all-conference team.

In his second season at Ursinus, he led the Bears to a 17-17 record, an increase of ten wins from the 2013 season.

Before coming to Ursinus, Exeter was the 2010 Centennial Conference Coach of the Year at Swarthmore. He led the Garnet to 89 wins over six years, including three straight 20-win seasons. His most successful season was during that 2010 campaign as Swarthmore qualified for the Centennial Conference playoffs for the first time in school history. The Garnet advanced all the way to the consolation final.

Exeter also enjoyed success at nearby Arcadia University. During his ten years at the helm, he posted a 181-166 record. Exeter won two conference championships, including in 2006 when the Knights went 18-3 in the conference. He led the 2004 squad to a conference crown as the team finished the season ranked in the top 25 by the American Baseball Coaches Association. In addition to his baseball duties, he managed all athletic event operations and personnel at Arcadia.

A 1992 graduate of Lafayette, he was twice named All-Patriot League as a first baseman.
