Title: Assistant Coach - Combined Events

Krista Snyder returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach prior to the 2017-18 season. The owner of six school records and 13 Centennial Conference track and field medals, Snyder will oversee the Bears’ multi athletes in addition to assisting with the power/speed athletes and with recruiting.

Snyder collected a baker’s dozen conference medals over her standout track and field career, including her gold medal in the heptathlon at the 2015 outdoor championship. As a senior in 2016, Snyder qualified for the Division III Outdoor Championships in the heptathlon and received the Olive Sergeant Hamm Award, presented annually as an all-around prize for an Ursinus senior woman who exemplifies the best in college life – athletically, socially, and scholastically. She was also an All-Mideast Region performer.

Snyder holds program records in the in the indoor long jump, 4x200-meter relay, and 4x400-meter relay in addition to outdoor records in the long jump, heptathlon, and pentathlon. She was named Ursinus’ Field Athlete of the Year after her junior and senior seasons and was a three-year member of the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. Snyder was also a valued member of the cross country programs and served as team captain for the 2015 campaign.

Snyder was an active member of the campus community during her time at Ursinus. She was a member of Ursinus College Student Government and served as sustainable development fellow at Friends Rehabilitation Program as part of the Quaker Voluntary Service.

Snyder, who coached jumps and javelin with the boys and girls track and field teams at Sun Valley High School during the past season, graduated from Ursinus in 2017 with a double major in neuroscience and philosophy.
