Swimming Teams Make Grade Again

CSCAA Release

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – The Ursinus College men's and women's swimming teams were among the record 480 institutions honored with Scholar All-America recognition for the spring semester by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

"Coach (Mark) Feinberg has built a program that is a model of succes in the pool and classroom," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart.

The women's team posted a 3.59 GPA, while the men garnered a 3.33 to continue their extended trends of success in the classroom. Tuesday's news marks the ninth consecutive semester in which both Bear programs have attained Scholar All-America status.

The Ursinus women captured their sixth consecutive Centennial Conference crown in 2018 and sent six swimmers to the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row, while the men placed fourth at the conference meet and established a school record by taking third in the dual-meet standings.

The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
