Complete Silver Anniversary Team
LANCASTER, Pa. – Four former Ursinus College men's outdoor track and field standouts were selected to the Centennial Conference Silver Anniversary team.
The Centennial Conference is celebrating 25 years as one of the elite small college athletic conferences in the country with the announcement of its Silver Anniversary teams, highlighting the best of the best over our first quarter-century. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a graduate of the institution and be one of the following:
- 3-time or 4-time first team All-CC performer
- 2-time CC Player of the Year
- 1st team All-America AND 2-time first team All-CC performer
- 2-time All-America (1st, 2nd, or 3rd team)
The Bears who received Silver Anniversary team recognition are: Anthony O'Hara (1999), Yori Adegunwa (2001), Brandon Evans (2008), and Evan Shea (2015).
Anthony O'Hara won three consecutive javelin titles at the CC outdoor championships from 1997 to 1999, with a top mark of 195-7 in 1998 that sits eighth in conference history. He is one of only two outdoor javelin champions in Ursinus history.
Yori Adegunwa was a four-time CC outdoor champion, collecting three 400-meter hurdles titles in a row and setting the outdoor meet record with a mark of 53.52 in 1999. He was named the Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet in 2000, when he also won the 400-meter dash. Adegunwa owns outdoor program records in the 400 hurdles (51.74) and high jump (6-8).
Brandon Evans won seven of his whopping 15 CC titles in the outdoor setting, which included three 100-yard dash crowns, a pair of 200-dash trophies, and one high jump and 4x200 relay ribbon. He was the Most Outstanding Track Performer at the conference meet in 2005 and 2006 and holds school records in the outdoor 100, 200, and 4x100.
Evan Shea was a three-time winner of the 110-meter hurdles finals at the outdoor championships, one of only two such honorees in conference history.
