Ursinus to Host High School Lax Championship

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The eyes of the high school lacrosse world will turn to Patterson Field this weekend as Ursinus plays host to the semifinals and finals of the inaugural National Prep Championship.

Sponsored by Victory Events Series, the National Prep Championship is an invite-only event showcasing the top private school lacrosse programs across North America. The field for the first and only true high school national invitational championship includes eight schools: Academy of the New Church (Bryn Athyn, Pa.), Culver Academy (Culver, In.), Hill Academy (Vaughan, Ontario, Canada), The Hill School (Pottstown, Pa.), The Hun School (Princeton, N.J.), IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), The Kiski School (Saltsburg, Pa.), and Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, N.J.).

Culver is No. 1 in the latest Inside Lacrosse Top 25, while Hill Academy is No. 6.

The quarterfinals will be played at The Hill School on Wednesday, with the semifinals shifting to Ursinus on Friday. The winners of those seminal contests – scheduled for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – will face off back at Patterson Field at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $10 for adults (18+), $7 for students (13-18), and $5 for kids 12 and under. LAX SPORTS NETWORK will air the semifinals and final live from Ursinus.
