Women’s track & field senior Morgan Cope opened the indoor season in spectacular fashion by breaking Ursinus’ pole vault record at Franklin & Marshall’s Diplomat Open. The pole vaulter’s clearance of 10 feet, 6 inches broke the program’s mark of 10 feet set by Elizabeth Cooley in 2014. Cope’s record-setting performance was good for third place in the meet and was better than her previous best by nine inches.
